Global Schools Alliance Partnership

As part of our growing partnership with Brazilian school Colégio Ceten, our Year 2 pupils enjoyed a truly heart-warming Zoom call with one of their classes, bringing festive cheer across continents.

Gathering eagerly around the camera, the children shared some of their favourite Christmas traditions and explained how the season is celebrated here at The Ryleys. They then treated their Brazilian friends to a cheerful and confident rendition of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, which was met with a huge round of applause and plenty of smiles from the other side of the screen.

In return, pupils from Colégio Ceten shared their own festive traditions, speaking in excellent English and demonstrating great confidence as they talked about celebrations in Brazil. The exchange was a wonderful opportunity for both classes to practise communication skills, develop cultural awareness and build international friendships.

It was a joyful and memorable experience that highlighted how learning can extend far beyond the classroom, reminding us how exciting it is to connect, share and learn with friends from around the world.
